Practice Management Consulting

If you have a patient with a dental procedure you do not like, you do not touch it, and you refer it to someone who has the experience. Regarding the business, you have to deal with it whether you like it or not, and that’s the reason for having an outstanding consultant in your Team!

An experienced Practice Management Consultant is a vital resource that helps turn the organization into an efficient, productive, and profitable business. Over the last two decades, we have helped many dental practices achieve their goals, and believe that the efficiency and profitability of those businesses are directly linked to our 5-step Practice Management consulting approach: 1) Analysis; 2) Implementation; 3) Training; 4) Coaching, and; 5) Monitoring. Our goal is to assist you in developing the business systems needed for a successful dental practice, customizing it to work with your personality and individual goals.

Analysis

We use a systematic approach to analyze different aspects of the organization, including current problems and challenges, to recommend solutions to the business owner, to develop strategic plans for improvement, and making the best possible choices, including enhancing efficiency, productivity, and profitability. One of the areas we get involved, for example, includes preparing the dental practice for the selling process — one of the benefits is that the practice owner is profiting from higher productions and collections before the business is sold.

If you are planning on retiring and selling your practice in the next three to five years, please feel free to contact us and inquire about our services !

Implementation

After assessing all the systems of the organization (i.e., production, collections, accounts receivables, hygiene department, adjustments), we customize a program that will support the organization to be more efficient, productive, and profitable. For example, we can create and implement protocols and help the practice Going Chartless (some times referred to as "Going Paperless").

Please feel free to contact us and inquire about our implementation services!

Proper training & coaching impacts team efficiency and productivity

Proper training & coaching impacts team efficiency and productivity

Training & Coaching

Training exposes the staff to potentially useful tools and techniques to teach practice management skills essential to have a successful dental practice — for example, the monitoring of business systems via reports from the practice management software. Our training is delivered using proven pedagogical techniques so that topics are clearly understood, and the knowledge applied adequately to be able to make appropriate business decisions.

We use coaching to reinforce the acquired training, to cause Team Members to assume personal responsibility for their success, to empower them to seek and discover their answers. A great coach is also a leader who listens and questions staff and focuses on the need of the crew doing a particular task. The benefits of the integrated Training-Coaching approach, as well as coaching conducted as a regular series of meetings (i.e., daily, weekly, monthly) with an individual (i.e., one-to-one), is that it lasts a lifetime!

Monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) is vital to gauge the performance of team members and the business.

Monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) is vital to gauge the performance of team members and the business.

Monitoring

Monitoring is to be aware of the state of a system: to observe a situation and to keep records for any changes that may occur over time, using tools to monitoring activities, to make decisions, and improving the performance of the system. To help overcome the complexity of the business of dentistry, we use tools like Excel and Google Sheets to monitor and track the business performance visually (i.e., productions, collections, accounts receivables, adjustments, new patients, hygiene performance, and much more).
